AIR BAGS Safety Recalls

High Priority #25V227000 Plain English
Component

AIR BAGS:SENSOR:OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION:FRONT PASSENGER

Manufacturer
Volkswagen Group of America, Inc.
What Happened
The passenger air bag sensor in your RS E-TRON GT is like a guardian that helps determine whether the air bag should inflate in a crash. Unfortunately, in some 2022-2023 models, this sensor's wiring can go wrong.
Risk if Unfixed
If the sensor fails, your front passenger air bag might not deploy when it's supposed to. This could leave you unprotected in a crash, increasing the risk of serious injury.
Free Fix
Your Audi dealer will replace the passenger seat cushion with a new one that includes the working sensor – all at no cost to you. You'll get a recall notice by mail, and you should schedule the repair as soon as possible.
