Component
AIR BAGS:FRONTAL:PASSENGER SIDE:INFLATOR MODULE
Manufacturer
Honda (American Honda Motor Co.)
What Happened
The airbag in your passenger seat is designed to protect you in a crash. In some Acura and Honda vehicles from 2006 to 2015, the airbag inflator might not work properly after years of exposure to humidity and temperature changes.
Risk if Unfixed
If the airbag inflator explodes, it could send sharp metal fragments flying into the passenger area, causing serious injury or even death.
Free Fix
Your Honda or Acura dealer will replace the faulty airbag inflator with a safe one, at no cost to you. You'll get a notification, and you should schedule the repair as soon as possible.
