FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:DELIVERY:FUEL PUMP

Manufacturer
Honda (American Honda Motor Co.)
What Happened
The fuel pump in your vehicle is the part that sends gasoline from the tank to your engine. In certain models, this pump can fail without warning while you're driving.
Risk if Unfixed
If the pump fails on the road, your engine will suddenly shut off — you'll lose power steering and power brakes. This could make it hard to control your vehicle and increase the chance of a collision.
Free Fix
Your Honda dealer will replace the faulty fuel pump module with a new one, completely free of charge. You should schedule the repair as soon as you get the recall notice, which was mailed September 6, 2024.

EXTERIOR LIGHTING:HEADLIGHTS

Manufacturer
Honda (American Honda Motor Co.)
What Happened
The headlight in your Acura RLX has a special reflective coating that helps the light shine brighter. But in some 2014 and 2015 models, this coating might peel off over time, reducing the light's brightness.
Risk if Unfixed
If the coating peels off, your headlight won't shine as brightly, making it harder for others to see you at night. This could increase the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your Acura dealer will replace both headlights with new ones that have a more reliable coating, at no cost to you. You'll receive a notification letter and should schedule the repair as soon as you can.

Original — What Happened
American Honda Motor Co. (Honda) is recalling certain model year 2014 Acura RLX vehicles manufactured November 22, 2012, to January 30, 2014, 2015 Acura RLX vehicles manufactured June 4, 2014, to November 18, 2014, and 2014 Acura RLX Hybrid vehicles manufactured November 5, 2013, to July 25, 2014. An aluminum film applied to the inner reflector of the headlight may experience adhesion issues causing the film to delaminate. Thus, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 108, "Lamps, reflective devices, and associated equipment."
Original — Risk if Unfixed
Delamination of the aluminum film may diminish output of the headlight, increasing the risk of a vehicle crash.
Original — Remedy
Honda will notify owners, and dealers will replace both of the headlights, free of charge. The recall began February 2, 2015. Owners may contact Honda customer service at 1-310-783-2000. Honda's number for this recall is JN2.

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: CRASH IMMINENT BRAKING

Manufacturer
Honda (American Honda Motor Co.)
What Happened
The crash imminent braking system in your vehicle is a safety feature that helps prevent accidents by applying the brakes if it detects an obstacle. However, in certain situations, it could misidentify a metal fence or guardrail as a danger and apply the brakes suddenly.
Risk if Unfixed
If this happens, you could be suddenly stopped, which could lead to a loss of control and a crash.
Free Fix
Your Acura dealer will update the crash imminent braking system's software to prevent this issue from happening, and it will be done at no cost to you.
